Polygon Collaborates with Major German Telecommunications Company Deutsche Telekom
- Deutsche Telekom has become a participant in the Polygon Proof-of-Stake network as one of 100 validators.
- Polygon will gain from the validation nodes provided by Deutsche Telekom MMS.
Polygon (MATIC), a prominent Layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum (ETH), has revealed a partnership with the major German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom. Through this collaboration, Deutsche Telekom has joined the Polygon Proof-of-Stake (PoS) network as one of its 100 validators.
This partnership aims to enhance Polygon’s security and decentralization while Deutsche Telekom explores the comprehensive capabilities of blockchain technology. The German telecom leader is dedicated to advancing the infrastructure of the Ethereum network.
Efficiency and Openness
With this collaboration, the company has shown a stronger commitment to the L2 platform. The announcement indicates that Deutsche Telekom MMS, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, will provide staking and validation services for Polygon’s PoS network and Supernet technologies.
Polygon will leverage the validation nodes from Deutsche Telekom MMS, which will also assist in safeguarding the privacy of Polygon’s PoS side chains and the Supernet application chain. Consequently, this will enhance the protocol’s security, governance, and decentralized characteristics.
Deutsche Telekom MMS acknowledges the importance of this partnership and appreciates the efficiency and transparency of the Polygon network from the viewpoints of both developers and network operators.
This clearly demonstrates that the blockchain network is gaining recognition and acceptance, being embraced by a diverse array of organizations. Additionally, Michael Blank, COO of Polygon Labs, has encouraged other companies to consider joining the initiative.
The PoS network has implemented several enhancements this year to support growth. In March, Polygon Labs’ zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) commenced public beta testing.
