Elon Musk Endorses Pro-Crypto Republican Presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy
Elon Musk, chairman and chief executive officer of X (formerly Twitter), has publicly endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy, a rising Republican candidate for the U.S. presidency.
Musk responded to a clip from Ramaswamy’s interview on Tucker Carlson’s podcast, stating, “Vivek Ramaswamy is the youngest-ever Republican presidential candidate.” He added, “He is a very promising candidate.”
Known for his outspoken views on digital assets, Ramaswamy has advocated for a more favorable regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies in the United States. At the Bitcoin 2023 conference in Miami, he announced that his campaign would accept Bitcoin (BTC) donations, making him the second presidential contender in the 2024 U.S. election cycle to embrace BTC contributions.

During the event, Ramaswamy displayed a QR code directing attendees to a donation portal that offered various contribution options. Donors contributing up to the $6,600 limit were eligible to receive an exclusive non-fungible token (NFT).
Ramaswamy’s decision follows Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who became the first U.S. presidential candidate to accept Bitcoin donations, highlighting the growing influence of cryptocurrencies in the political and financial arenas.

Ramaswamy’s rising profile has drawn him closer to fellow Republican Ron DeSantis, the Bitcoin-friendly governor of Florida.
However, Ramaswamy’s political journey faces challenges. He is currently involved in two lawsuits filed by former employees of Strive Asset Management, a firm he co-founded. The plaintiffs allege they were pressured to violate securities regulations during their tenure at the company.
