Cointelegraph Accelerator Welcomes Brickken as Tokenization Market Expands

As digitalization transforms the financial industry, tokenization is becoming an integral component of future capital markets. By leveraging blockchain technology, tokenization digitizes asset securitization, creating numerous opportunities for assets, markets, and potential investors.

The tokenization market is projected to reach $16 trillion in the illiquid segment alone by 2030, according to the Boston Consulting Group. Additionally, the World Economic Forum predicts that up to 10% of global GDP will be managed on-chain by 2025. Banking giant HSBC offers a similar estimate, suggesting that up to 10% of all assets will be tokenized by 2030.

Market players such as Brickken have already taken steps to capitalize on this growing demand. Brickken is a tokenization platform operated by the Spanish company Brick Token, S.L., aiming to provide a comprehensive tokenization solution for businesses, entrepreneurs, and investors focused on managing digital assets.

Recognizing Brickken’s promising business model and long-term prospects, Cointelegraph Accelerator—a startup booster leveraging Cointelegraph’s capabilities as a media and strategic partner—will support the company with content, branding, marketing, education, networking, and investor relations solutions. As part of this alliance, Brickken will join Cointelegraph’s Accelerator Program, launched earlier this year.

A comprehensive solution

Brickken’s flagship product, the Token Suite, enables companies to convert real-world assets into blockchain-based digital assets using Ethereum, thereby increasing efficiency during IPOs. The platform supports companies throughout the entire tokenization cycle, from creation and launch to the management of digital assets, offering tools for compliance, investor relations, corporate actions, and optimization.

For investors, the Token Suite provides a comprehensive resource for opportunities through tokenized company shares. It offers an easy-to-use interface for managing assets and engaging with invested companies. By year-end, over $200 million in assets are expected to be tokenized via the Token Suite, creating opportunities for both companies and investors. In just a few months, the solution has been adopted by more than 30 active customers who have raised over $2 million.

Building the ecosystem

To sustain its growth and leverage its talented team, Brickken secured a $350,000 grant from Neotec, a Spanish fund launched by the European Investment Fund (EIF). The company has gained exclusive access to Spain’s financial regulatory sandbox and has raised approximately $3 million in total. Furthermore, it was awarded the SME Seal of Innovation by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. Interest from high-profile institutions and a partnership with Chainlink have helped jump-start Brickken’s tokenization business.

The Brickken ecosystem is powered by its native token, BKN. The community round commenced within three months, during which the company distributed 25 million BKN at $0.08 per unit. Brickken’s first public round sold 6 million tokens, and the second round will remain active until May 31.
