Cardano Creator Charles Hoskinson Explains Position on NFTs0

  • Hoskinson does not possess any NFTs from Cardano ecosystem projects on a personal basis.
  • The founder indicated that he appreciates the NFT artwork he has received.

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, recently shared a video where he discussed his stance regarding his participation in NFT projects within the Cardano ecosystem. When questioned about the Apes Society artwork prominently featured in his Colorado office, Hoskinson mentioned that it was a gift and that he had neither been compensated by nor endorsed the organization.

He further stated that he does not personally own any NFTs from Cardano ecosystem projects. Hoskinson clarified that while he values the NFT artwork he has received, he does not wish for his display of any particular project’s work to be interpreted as an endorsement of that project.

Unbiased Approach

Hoskinson highlighted that his choice to refrain from these NFT projects is driven by a commitment to remain impartial. Despite having received multiple offers to acquire NFTs, the founder has emphasized that he has never disclosed his address. His neutrality towards any specific NFT project within the Cardano ecosystem prevents any perception of favoritism.

Additionally, he addressed the tribalism and tightly-knit communities present within the Cardano NFT ecosystem. Hoskinson urged the various stakeholders in the NFT industry to come together and discuss their shared needs.

Recently, he stated at an event that ADA is poised to become the most valuable cryptocurrency globally, surpassing both Bitcoin and Ethereum. As per CMC, the current price of ADA is $0.2649, reflecting a 0.08% increase over the past 24 hours.
