Blockchain Analytics Company Elliptic Incorporates ChatGPT to Enhance Productivity0

  • The firm has incorporated ChatGPT into its off-chain intelligence and research operations.
  • CTO Hull believes that utilizing it may assist in uncovering vulnerabilities that may have been missed by humans.

Despite mixed outcomes from other crypto firms in its implementation, Elliptic, a cryptocurrency risk management company, has adopted ChatGPT to enhance its effectiveness in identifying crypto-related risks.

Elliptic provides cryptocurrency clients with risk assessments for their transactions, wallets, and exchanges. Human analysts utilize a proprietary dataset that encompasses “over a decade’s worth of data” to conduct these evaluations.

Identifying New Hazards

As stated by Elliptic on June 1st, the company has integrated ChatGPT into its off-chain intelligence and research efforts to improve the accuracy and speed at which new risks are detected.

It was noted that ChatGPT will empower its researchers and analysts to tackle new risk factors “in greater volumes and at a faster pace than ever before.” Elliptic’s chief technology officer, Jackson Hull, has suggested that employing it might help reveal vulnerabilities that humans have missed.

Additionally, in recent months, several cryptocurrency firms have incorporated ChatGPT into their operations, achieving varying levels of success.

On May 3, Crypto.com launched Amy, an AI user assistant powered by ChatGPT, aimed at educating users about the industry by delivering real-time information on token prices, projects, and historical events.

Despite the “massive potential implications” that AI could have in the cryptocurrency field, Crypto.com anticipates receiving substantial feedback initially that will be “integrated into future upgrades.” Conversely, Bitget, a crypto derivatives exchange, has encountered “cracks” in the reliability of ChatGPT’s responses.

Bitget’s managing director Gracy Chen indicated that the company was initially satisfied with ChatGPT’s capability to manage standard customer inquiries, but errors were identified when the system faced “more complex queries.”
