On September 14, the layer-2 blockchain recorded 1.88 million transactions, exceeding its earlier record of 1.41 million transactions on August 21, the month of its launch. The layer-2 network outperformed competing chains such as Optimism and Arbitrum, which collectively processed 878,000 transactions that day.

Despite this achievement, the layer-2 network still trails behind larger blockchains like Polygon and BNB Smart Chain (BSC). On the same date, Polygon recorded 2.1 million transactions, while BSC had 3.1 million transactions.

In contrast to its previous transaction record on August 21, when the blockchain also reached 136,000 daily active users alongside its high transaction volume, the layer-2 network did not see as many users this time. On September 14, Base had approximately 86,000 daily active users, according to data from Dune Analytics.
