The CEO of the cryptocurrency asset management firm Off The Chain Capital, Brian Dixon, stated that Bitcoin could serve as a safeguard in the event of war.

According to the executive, Bitcoin may be particularly sought after during armed conflicts when banking systems cease to function, and financial restrictions along with closed borders hinder access to personal funds.

He cited the example of women in Afghanistan who earned Bitcoin by working remotely in software development. By storing their assets in cold wallets, these women were able to preserve and transport their holdings out of the country.

“In the midst of conflict, you can take your assets offline, load them onto a storage device, and carry them anywhere in the world. This is one of the most illustrative and powerful examples of Bitcoin’s practical application,” the CEO explained.

Dixon believes that despite the recent volatility in the cryptocurrency market, interest from institutional investors remains strong. He noted that major banks and asset managers are anticipating clearer regulatory guidelines. Once a definitive regulatory framework is established, trillions of dollars in new capital could flow into the industry, according to the CEO of Off The Chain Capital.

He asserts that the current market value of the leading cryptocurrency is significantly lower than its “fundamental price.” Dixon opines that over time, the first cryptocurrency could evolve into a foundational financial protocol for technological systems, including artificial intelligence infrastructure, and has the potential to exceed $10 million per coin, possibly even reaching $20 million.

Previously, analysts from the European digital asset management firm CoinShares indicated that the recent decline in the leading cryptocurrency did not incite panic among large investors. They continued to invest in Bitcoin, albeit discreetly.
