Fraudsters are posing as developers of the Lace wallet., 2026/03/24 20:21:03

Input Output Global, the company behind the Lace cryptocurrency wallet for the Cardano blockchain, has reported a fraudulent website, Lacedesktop.io. This site aims to steal users’ sensitive information.
Malicious actors are sending phishing emails that reference the Lace Desktop 2.0 wallet. The scammers are impersonating legitimate developers. Clicking on the links may result in downloading malware onto devices or redirecting users to a counterfeit site where the fraudsters collect usernames, passwords, and financial details.
The Lace team has stated that they will never ask users for their recovery seed phrase to regain access to their crypto address, nor will they request a private key. Developers have urged wallet owners to remain vigilant and to obtain information solely through official channels.
Recently, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson released a video titled Midnight Launch Week, in which he indicated that the launch of the Midnight sidechain for the Cardano mainnet could occur this week. Initially, Midnight, designed to enhance transaction privacy, will operate under a federated model—network stability will be supported by selected partners, but a transition to full decentralization will follow, the businessman assured.
Last year, Hoskinson promised to integrate support for the XRP coin, issued by Ripple, into the Lace cryptocurrency wallet.
