Crypto Banter Founder: Bitcoin’s Value Raises Questions Among Investors, 2026/03/31 12:05:43

The founder of the media platform Crypto Banter, Ran Neuner, stated that investors are increasingly questioning the value of Bitcoin due to the lack of clear growth drivers in the short term.
According to him, it is becoming more challenging to define the role of the leading cryptocurrency in the market. While Bitcoin was previously viewed as an alternative to traditional currency or “digital gold,” these narratives are now diverging from the actual price dynamics.
“I don’t know how to answer the question of why investors should be buying Bitcoin right now. That is the issue,” Neuner remarked.
He emphasized that the perception of Bitcoin has become less certain: the asset is simultaneously seen as a medium of exchange and a store of value, yet these functions do not always align, particularly during periods of volatile dynamics.
“The biggest crisis I am currently experiencing is trying to understand what Bitcoin is and where it derives its value,” he added.
Neuner urged investors to pay less attention to short-term price forecasts and focus on fundamental indicators—market structure, capital flows, and risk management.
Among the key factors, he highlighted macroeconomic conditions, including geopolitical tensions, commodity price movements, and inflation expectations. In his view, capital movement provides a more accurate picture of market conditions than the news backdrop.
Neuner also pointed out long-term technological changes. In particular, the advancement of artificial intelligence could impact the use of crypto networks, including the emergence of autonomous systems capable of independently interacting with blockchain infrastructure and executing transactions.
Previously, Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Eric Balchunas compared Bitcoin’s current situation to the developmental stage of Facebook, when the platform expanded beyond a narrow user base and entered a more mature phase.
