Co-founder of Fenbushi Capital announces reward for recovery of stolen crypto assets., 2026/03/26 12:56:49

Co-founder of the venture firm Fenbushi Capital, Bo Shen, has announced a reward for the recovery of digital assets valued at approximately $42 million, which were stolen from his personal Trust Wallet in 2022.
Shen is willing to offer 10–20% of the recovered amount to any individual or organization that assists in retrieving the funds. The reward will be disbursed upon the completion of the recovery process.
According to the entrepreneur, a portion of the assets worth $1.2 million has already been frozen in the wallets of the perpetrators with the help of blockchain researchers ZachXBT and Taylor “Tayvano” Monahan.
Shen indicated that he decided to resume the investigation due to new information regarding the movement of the stolen assets. He noted that at the time of the hack, transaction tracking tools were less advanced, making it challenging to analyze operations across different blockchains and platforms.
He assessed that advancements in data analytics, including AI-based tools and blockchain forensics, have improved the efficiency of transaction tracking and pattern recognition.
As reported by the analytics firm SlowMist, the theft was attributed to the compromise of the seed phrase. Experts also identified the composition of the stolen assets:
Following the attack, the funds were transferred through ChangeNOW and SideShift services.
Shen reported the theft of the crypto assets in November 2022, emphasizing that the stolen funds were personal and did not involve assets related to Fenbushi Capital.
