Changpeng Zhao: Cryptocurrencies Will Become a Part of Daily Life, 2026/04/10 10:52:53

The owner of a controlling stake in the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao, stated that by 2031, cryptocurrencies and blockchain could seamlessly integrate into everyday infrastructure, much like the internet does today.
According to him, the advancement of blockchain technology may be accelerated through its integration with artificial intelligence. This combination has the potential to enhance the practical utility of crypto infrastructure and broaden its applications.
“I hope that in five years, we will stop discussing cryptocurrencies in the same way we no longer talk about the internet, TCP/IP, HTML, or JavaScript. We will simply use it,” Zhao remarked.
He also suggested that the distinction between traditional financial instruments and crypto assets will gradually diminish. This could lead to the emergence of hybrid solutions where blockchain becomes part of the foundational infrastructure rather than a separate market segment.
Zhao cautioned that countries that overlook cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and artificial intelligence risk falling behind technologically and losing their competitive edge.
Previously, the founder of the largest cryptocurrency exchange indicated that one of the key characteristics of cryptocurrencies—transaction transparency—might hinder their widespread adoption.
