Компания Bitwise пожертвовала $233 000 разработчикам Биткоина0

The asset management firm Bitwise has donated $233,000 to developers who ensure the security of the Bitcoin network. Since 2024, the company has contributed a total of $383,000 for these purposes.

The latest transfer was funded by 10% of the gross profits from the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB). The funds will be allocated among three non-profit organizations that support Bitcoin’s development: Bitcoin Brink, OpenSats, and the Human Rights Foundation through the Bitcoin Development Fund.

This follows a donation of $150,000 made in February 2025, one year after the launch of the BITB fund. After the ETF’s launch in January 2024, Bitwise management committed to directing 10% of the fund’s gross profits to Bitcoin developers.

With the current donation of $233,000, the gross profit from BITB in its second year of operation has reached approximately $2.33 million. Bitwise charges a management fee of 0.2% for the fund.

“Bitwise takes pride in financially supporting the unsung heroes who secure the Bitcoin network. As the BITB exchange fund grows, so does our contribution to the development of this ecosystem,” company representatives stated on the social media platform X.

According to Farside Investors, the BITB fund ranks third in total inflows among Bitcoin spot ETFs. Since January 2024, the fund has received around $2.2 billion. In this regard, it trails only the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) from BlackRock and the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) from Fidelity.

At the beginning of the year, many cryptocurrency ETFs experienced a decline in inflows amid market corrections. Over the past four months, the total outflow from U.S. ETFs linked to Bitcoin and Ethereum has reached nearly $9.2 billion.
