Bitwise CEO describes Bitcoin’s decline as an opportunity for certain investors., 2026/02/09 15:15:21

The CEO of the digital asset management firm Bitwise, Hunter Horsley, stated that Bitcoin priced at $70,000 presents an opportunity for new investors to acquire more coins.
According to Horsley, the decline in the price of the leading cryptocurrency is perceived differently across the market. Long-term holders are attempting to exit their positions, while new investors are showing optimism.
“Currently, institutional players are observing prices that they believed were gone forever. The current situation is an excellent opportunity for newcomers to enter the market. Trading volumes are increasing, with both sellers and buyers present,” declared the head of Bitwise.
The executive noted that the collapse of the crypto market and major cryptocurrencies occurred at an unusual time, amidst growing interest from large investors in Bitcoin and improved regulation. While the leading cryptocurrency remains in a bearish trend, it is affected by unfavorable economic factors, and many investors are trying to sell everything that has any liquidity, said Horsley.
Nevertheless, demand for Bitcoin remains strong, which may help the asset establish a solid foundation for future growth, concluded the CEO of Bitwise.
Previously, the Chief Investment Officer of ProCap Financial, Jeff Park, suggested that the Bitcoin market could exhibit a bullish trend, even if the U.S. Federal Reserve does not lower interest rates on loans.
