BitMine increased its ether reserves to 4.47 million coins0

BitMine Immersion Technologies, the largest publicly traded holder of ether, has raised its reserves of the second-largest cryptocurrency to 4,473,587 coins. The current value of BitMine’s crypto reserves is approximately $8.8 billion.

Over the past week, the company acquired 50,928 . Currently, 3,040,483 tokens (around 68%) are staked, generating an annual income of $172 million with a weekly yield of 2.83%, as reported by BitMine. The company anticipates that revenues could reach $253 million annually once all ethers are staked, which will occur following the launch of its own platform, MAVAN. At present, the company is collaborating with external staking providers.

In addition to ether, the company holds other assets, including 195 bitcoins and $868 million. Furthermore, BitMine has invested $200 million in YouTuber MrBeast’s Beast Industries and $14 million in Eightco Holdings. The total value of crypto assets and cash under the company’s management is estimated at $9.9 billion.

Due to the decline in cryptocurrency values, BitMine is currently facing an unrealized loss of nearly $7 billion. BitMine’s founder, Tom Lee, referred to the loss as “not a bug, but a feature,” emphasizing that BitMine is designed to monitor ether prices and outperform the market over the long term, rather than succumbing to panic during short-term corrections.

According to Lee, he is purchasing ether because he views the current correction as appealing in light of the strengthening fundamental indicators of the second cryptocurrency. The businessman stated that the current price of the coin does not reflect its high utility and its role as a foundation for the future of finance. Lee believes that the impact of military actions by the U.S. and its allies against Iran will affect financial markets and digital assets in the coming weeks.

In mid-February, the largest U.S. bank by assets, Bank of America, increased its stake in BitMine by more than 17 times, reaching 3.1 million shares.
