“Institutions don’t just discuss Bitcoin, they structure their operations around it. When the organization that implements Bitcoin infrastructure invests alongside the entity that operationalizes the Bitcoin treasury strategy…that is a message,” McCauley stated on X.

Saylor remarked that “conviction is contagious,” suggesting that other firms might soon follow Anchorage’s example in acquiring Strategy’s yield-generating preferred stock.

Anchorage’s investment represents a capital endorsement for the bitcoin treasury framework popularized by Michael Saylor’s Strategy. This move also highlights the strengthening connections among bitcoin’s institutional supporters, even amid price fluctuations. Strategy is the largest publicly listed holder of bitcoin globally, with a reserve of 717,722 , valued at $46.64 million.

Strategy’s perpetual preferred stock, Short Duration High Yield Credit (STRC), holds a senior position over common shares such as MSTR and provides investors consistent returns without a maturity date.

Introduced in mid-2025, STRC offers 11.25% annual dividends to its holders, distributed monthly in cash, with the rate adjusted monthly to stabilize trading around the $100 par value.
