Liechtenstein Prime Minister Daniel Risch has recently proposed accepting Bitcoin (BTC) for government services. According to a report by the local news outlet Handelsblatt, Risch announced plans to introduce BTC as an option for paying government fees.

Based on current planning, the principality intends to accept deposits in Bitcoin and immediately convert them into the Swiss franc, the country’s national currency.
Risch, who also serves as the finance minister, noted that this model mirrors practices in Swiss communities such as Zug and Lugano, where residents have long been able to use Bitcoin for tax payments and government services. At the time of reporting, BTC was trading at $27,912, reflecting a 3.68% decline in value over the previous 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap data.
