Mobile access to ChatGPT is now accessible on iOS. OpenAI has officially launched its renowned AI chatbot as a dedicated iOS application, several months after the App Store was inundated with unauthorized services claiming to be connected to OpenAI.

The company asserts that the new ChatGPT application will be provided free of charge, without advertisements, and will support voice input, although it will initially be available only to users in the United States.

Enhanced User Experience

The ChatGPT application, similar to its desktop counterpart, allows users to interact with an AI chatbot to pose questions, seek advice, find inspiration, learn, study, and more without relying on traditional online searches.

The updated version may encourage more individuals to utilize ChatGPT as their main mobile assistant due to the limitations of Apple’s own voice assistant, Siri, and the company’s slow progress in artificial intelligence.

Google, which currently benefits from being the default search engine in Safari on Apple’s iPhone, may also experience repercussions from this launch. ChatGPT’s web interface retains your search history, and the mobile application will synchronize this data so that you can pick up where you left off. Whisper, OpenAI’s free and open-source voice recognition tool, is also integrated within the app.

OpenAI indicated in its announcement that ChatGPT Plus subscribers would gain access to GPT-4’s features through the new application, along with early access to new functionalities and faster response times.
