The concluding week of March appears poised for volatility, with the FTX Recovery Trust scheduled to distribute $2.2 billion to creditors on Tuesday, and the critical U.S. monthly nonfarm payrolls report set for release on Friday, coinciding with the closure of numerous equity markets globally for Good Friday.
The ongoing conflict in the Middle East, now in its fifth week, is also of great importance. The situation has impacted major energy infrastructures and transportation in the area, consequently raising inflation expectations and prompting a significant alteration in monetary policy forecasts, according to Luke Deans, a senior research associate at Bitwise, speaking to CoinDesk.
“Bitcoin, as a highly reactive and liquidity-sensitive asset, often reacts promptly to changes in risk appetite and has adjusted lower since October 2025,” Deans stated. “This indicates that digital assets began to reflect tighter financial conditions ahead of many conventional risk assets.”
Global macroeconomic influences, he noted, continue to be the main factors driving risk sentiment. While liquidity will certainly play a part, the market environment remains delicate due to the persistent geopolitical uncertainty.
