On August 11th, Worldcoin announced that the World App now includes a reservation function to aid in the acquisition of WLD tokens. Users can reserve WLD tokens without verifying their World ID. They will be able to collect their reserved WLD tokens with a simple visit to an Orb within the next year.

To reserve their WLD, users must download the World App. The subsequent step involves placing a reservation for WLD tokens when they are available, followed by redeeming them at an Orb after verification.

Increased Scrutiny

The current price of Worldcoin (WLD) stands at $1.69, reflecting a decline of 5.45% over the past 24 hours and 24.75% over the last week, attributed to various concerns raised by industry experts. Some governments have launched investigations into the Worldcoin project due to security and privacy issues. Worldcoin is facing initial challenges in Kenya following inquiries across Europe.

Notable individuals, including Ethereum developer Vitalik Buterin, have expressed concerns regarding Worldcoin’s privacy and security, highlighting flaws in the Orb’s design, as well as issues related to privacy and security, alongside the company’s questionable business practices.

Worried about the protection of users’ personal data, the Public Information Access Agency of Argentina initiated an investigation into Sam Altman’s Worldcoin project on Friday. The agency will also examine the protocols’ implementation and their ability to handle sensitive information.
