Terra Rebel's Proposal 11459 Shot Down by Significant Validators

  • Allnodes, a validator holding 15% voting power, cast a “No” vote on the proposal.
  • Terra Rebels are requesting a total of $37,593 in LUNC tokens from the community pool.

The voting process for Terra Rebels’ Proposal 11459 proved dramatic for the Terra Classic community. Allnodes, a validator controlling 15% of the voting power, voted “No” on the request from the prominent developer group, ultimately contributing to the proposal’s defeat.

Some attribute this outcome to a recent dispute between Allnodes and Terra Rebels. The proposal failed to gain traction, securing only 30% of the votes in favor, while receiving 60% “No” and “Abstain” votes.

Endpoint Requested

Allnodes announced on April 15 that it voted “No” on Proposal 11459, citing a lack of transparency from Terra Rebels regarding the nodes they deployed and the requests they processed.

Discussions among developers focused on information regarding nodes and servers responsible for scalability and distributed storage. However, Allnodes stated it would support the plan only after the “TFL team tests and confirms endpoint scalability.”

Terra Rebels are requesting a total of $37,593 in LUNC tokens from the community pool. This sum includes $7,593 for operating expenses and $30,000 for salaries. The funds are intended to cover three months of operating costs and technical assistance for the Rebel Station’s infrastructure.

Other validators who cast “No” votes included StakeBin, LUNC DAO, TerraCVita, and Luna Station 88.

The Terra Luna Classic community recently faced a temporary crisis after core developers Ed Kim and Tobias “Zaradar” Andersen departed the Joint L1 Task Force. This has led to a split between the development team and the Terra Grants Foundation (TGF).

Additionally, Proposal 11463, titled “Expanded & Finalized L1 Task Force [v3] (Q2 2023),” which aimed to support the creation, improvements, and maintenance of the Terra Classic blockchain by a separate team, was also voted down by the community.
