VanEck forecasts Ethereum to reach $11.8k by 2030
VanEck, a worldwide investment management firm, has issued forecasts regarding Ethereum’s (ETH) price in 2030, suggesting it could attain $11,800 and emerge as a competitor to U.S. Treasury bonds. This valuation was derived by discounting Ethereum at 12% to ascertain its present-day worth, leading to a base case price of $5,359.71.
The forecasts are detailed in a report written by Matthew Sigel, head of digital assets, alongside Patrick Bush, a senior investment analyst for digital assets at VanEck. The report not only outlines the analysis and valuation approach for Ethereum but also considers elements such as transaction fees, MEV (Miner Extractable Value), and “security as a service.”
Additionally, it examines Ethereum’s potential market share across different sectors and its viability as a store of value within the growing cryptocurrency landscape.
