Balancer frontend targeted in attack, resulting in theft of $238K in cryptocurrency.
Balancer, a decentralized finance protocol built on Ethereum, has announced that its user interface is currently “under attack.”
The platform alerted its community on September 19 at 11:49 pm UTC, advising users to refrain from interacting with Balancer’s protocol until further notice.

Balancer indicated that the specifics of the attack are still being examined. The company has not yet confirmed the safety of user funds at this time.
Nonetheless, blockchain security firms such as PeckShield and blockchain analyst ZachXBT have estimated that at least $238,000 in cryptocurrency has been taken.

This marks the second theft from Balancer within a month, following a warning about a significant vulnerability on August 22, which led to a $2 million exploit a few days later.
